RPC did a rear extension, garage to utility room conversion, 2 new bathrooms and full refurb throughout (re-wire, re-plumb, new floors, ceilings, replastering etc).
Charlie and Jon are really nice guys. They are genuine, honest and very friendly. They spent time with us to go through the quote and we met at Jon’s house to go through it all. Top guys. The quote was detailed and thorough. During the build they responded instantly and are always available. The whatsapp group was buzzing!

The builders they subcontracted to were very good. The standard of building work was excellent. They would turn up early in the morning and work hard. We are very pleased with the finished product. The site was left tidy all the time (when they could!)

I would recommend RPC for all of the above. I have not given 5 stars because we did experience a couple of “classic” issues with builders.

The job overran by approx. 8 weeks, on an initial estimate of 12 weeks. 20 weeks was still much quicker than any other builder had quoted. We had a couple of weeks of inactivity due to the builders having their head turned by another job. But I do feel this is fairly standard in the building trade!

At times I felt Jon and Charlie were just passing though problems to us, and could have actively resolved them. This is partly a product of the builders being so proficient, that Jon and Charlie would not be able to disagree with them. But there is always more than 1 way of doing things, and we had a few frustrating conversations to get there. Again this is not a massive issue and quite standard I think. We had a very detail orientated architect (which had positives and negatives), and we had to compromise along the way between what we had in the plans and what was “normally” done. Having said that I would have appreciated it if Jon & Charlie paid more attention to the plans and made sure the builders were executing them correctly, rather than relying on the builders to do it their way. I know this can be much worse in the building trade, where you get home from work and the builder has done it his own way and it’s too late to change.

We also had quite a few extras at the end which I did not think were necessarily an extra charge (a couple of hours work for one guy). They were not a meaningful cost to the job though. I think Jon and Charlie are revising how they formulate their quote to make sure this sort of thing doesn’t happen.

We had very few snags. And they were also resolved with minimum fuss and with Jon & Charlie’s usual friendly way. There were no issues getting builders to come back.

All in all, great guys, very proficient and efficient builders. Issues above are minor and I would say fairly usual for the industry.

Whilst we didn’t proceed with our project due to external factors- we found Raynes Park Construction great to deal with. Charlie was very knowledgeable , personable and pulled together a very impressive quote with good detail. Wouldn’t hesitate to contact again.

RPC built a 4ft extension a loft conversion last year (2021). They were recommended by my brother, who had a long extension built by them. I had a number of quotes from various builders and although they were not the cheapest, I thought that they were best value when taking everything into consideration.

They were very professional to deal all the way through the process. The detailed quote was provided within days and we able to agree the price and start date very quickly.

The work started on the exact day they promised and finished only 2 weeks later than planned and the slippage in the date was communicated early, with the reasons completely understandable and unavoidable.

In terms of of the standard of work, I must say it was better than expected and I have very high standards. Of course there we one or two things I was not happy with but Jon and the team were happy to rectify to my specifications..

I am extremely happy with the end result and could not recommend them more!

RPC carried out Phase 1 (wrap around ground floor extension) of our build for our dream home.

From the start of the process to the end of the build, Chigs and Jon were always on hand to answer any questions or concerns we had.

We initially contact RPC over 2 years ago to quote us on our build work, then with the plans changing they requoted us on the work, but unlike all the builders we contacted RPC were the only company to take the time to sit down with us and go through the detailed quote with us.

When it came to doing the build work, RPC were on point with all the work, very professional and always there to advise on anything to do with the build.

Would recommend them to anyone who is looking to have work completed on their house however big or small. You won’t be disappointed.

I wanted a rear extension converted into a large kitchen area and spoke to a few building companies. I commissioned Raynes Park Construction because I was really impressed with the interest and professionalism that Jon and Charlie went to from the time we met. In advance of work starting I was introduced to everyone who would be completing the job. I had a lot of support on the options available to me and how it could be the most cost effective and quality project within my budget. They were able to start the work when it was convenient for me and without exception, turned up every day before eight and kept me up to date with progress throughout. They are a very responsive team and the level of customer care was excellent – no query seemed too much bother. They are a very tidy group of builders who cleared up every day, this was important as I was staying at the house throughout the project. I am delighted with the end result. Even after they had finished the job, they were available and happy to resolve a few issues for me.

They recently completed a 6 meter rear extension on our property which was completed to an excellent standard. The finish was amazing, top quality. They completed the work in the time specified and kept within budget! The builders they had on site were great really hard working and had lots of great ideas. Overall I couldn’t be more happy with this company and our extension is great everyone comments on how great it looks and the finish. We will use this company again for our loft soon!

I found Johnathan and his team to be very professional with a great work ethic. They guided me throughout the work on my loft extention from the planning stage, through implementation and even after.

I found Raynes Park Construction to be conscientious diligent builders who stand out from the rest, they completed my loft extension within a 5 week time frame from start to finish, would use again & fully recommend them!

We found Raynes construction whilst doing a search for local companies that provide renovation services.

We were extremely impressed after seeing previous work they had completed online and spoke to Jon about extending into our loft space to create a bedroom and bathroom. In addition to this, we also asked that our current first-floor bathroom/toilet were knocked through to convert into 1 large bathroom.

It was great to also be given the opportunity to go to ongoing sites of work to meet the building team and see how they conduct their work.

Jon was very hands on and came to use personally with his written quote outlining what the suggested specification of work would be. We worked through this together and as clients had the opportunity to add to this specification and make our thoughts and requirements known.

We were immediately able to establish a great rapport with Dave and his team of builders who were extremely efficient, tidy and always put in a great days worth of work. Dave, coming in on weekends himself to ensure that the job got done on time.

Despite some inevitable delays due to supply issues and the work running over Christmas, Jon was always contactable and reassured us that all was in hand which we found very helpful.

Post construction we have run into the occasional niggle – as we all do- (fuse blowout on extractor fan), but Charlie has been invaluable in ensuring that the relevant tradesmen attended to this promptly and sorted it out with no extra cost to us.

We have no hesitation in endorsing the work of this team and our only suggestion would be if you want work outside the spec supplied by Jon, to be explicit in what you require so that the whole team is on board with your final vision

RPC worked brilliantly for us. They came in and re-laid the beams in the floor of our loft conversion after the original builders hadn’t done the job correctly. They were timely, courteous and very tidy, also providing a good value for money quote. I’d recommend using them for any type of building project and we would definitely use them again.

They did a great work with my house. I wanted to some reconstruction and called this company. Their professionals exceeded my expectations. The house looks great!
